By entering The BARBECUE RECORDS Giveaway Competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:


Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.


Entry is open worldwide.


The competition commences on Thursday 15th of October 2020 and concludes on Saturday 7th November 2020.

To qualify, entrants must:

Like our social pages (Facebook and Instagram) 

Like the social pages of our partners (Physical Radio, Sennheiser and Machine Mechanics) 

Post a Soundcloud or Mixcloud link to a mix and tag 3 DJ friends in the comment section

All qualifying entries must be completed before the closing date, Saturday 7th November 2020.


There will be ONE winner drawn.

The prize consists of :

  • One year subscription to broadcast a radio show on Physical Radio (weekly residency)

  • Sennheiser HD25 Classic DJ & Monitoring Headphones

  • A feature in the next issue of Machine Mechanics Magazine (issue of Jan-Feb 2021)

  • One guest mix on the BBQ Radio Show (Australia’s most popular show for the underground scene)

Barbecue Records will arrange postal service to deliver the prizes to an allocated address supplied by the winner, Barbecue Records shall cover these courier costs.

In participation of the competition, the winner agrees to co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition. The winner agrees to grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

The winner agrees to the terms and conditions of Physical Radio in regards to the broadcast of the weekly residency. Barbecue Records reserves the right to cancel the one year weekly residency at any time if the winner does not provide timely delivery and quality in each of their shows.

It is the responsibility of the winner to provide Barbecue Records with quality contents (photos, etc) for the feature in Machine Mechanics Magazine.

Barbecue Records reserves the right not to broadcast the guest mix for the BBQ Radio Show in its absolute discretion if the mix is of poor quality or does not fit with the BBQ Radio Show image. 

Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.

There will be one winner chosen from the total pool of entries received. Each entrant who has entered the competition, that met all the criteria and registered all details required (Qualifying Entrant) will be eligible. The winner will be selected based on the quality of the mix they have submitted.

The winner will be notified on Saturday, November 7th 2020. The winner will then have 48 hours to respond and arrange to collect their prize.

The winner agrees for Barbecue Records to share the winning tracks on our social media platforms and website.

The winner’s name will be announced on the Barbecue Records Facebook Page, once the winner has confirmed their prize. The winner, once crowned, on the collection or receiving of their prize, is required to make an Instagram/Facebook post with a photo or video of themselves and their prize, this will be used as promotion media for both the Barbecue Records Website, Facebook page and Instagram page and remain viewable until the promoter sees fit.

The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.

The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the Promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.


In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.

Barbecue Records will not take any responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.

Barbecue Records & affiliates will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:

A) During the draw;

B) Whilst undertaking any activity in or connected with their entry into the draw

C) In the participation in any prize

D) As a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail

E) Due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person

F) In relation to the failure of an entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion

G) Arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion

Barbecue Records assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition
